Next Big Innovation Labs’ Bioprinter, Trivima, was showcased at the Karnataka Pavilion in Aero India, and the Honourable Prime Minister of India complimented the efforts. Next Big Innovation Labs is a seven-year-old bioprinting company, vehemently supported by the Karnataka Startup Ecosystem, and is recognized under the Startup Karnataka and Startup India schemes. In its early years, the company was supported by grants from the State and Central Governments (Idea2POC, IIGP 2.0, and BIG).

NBIL will continue to work closely with the Government of Karnataka on areas related to skilling more individuals in a critical 4IR Technological area of 3D Printing and Bioprinting through its Next Big Learning Program, which currently has skilled over 300+ students and working professionals. Another common exploration area would be setting up a Centre of Excellence in 3D Bioprinting to enable research for on-ground and space applications. 3D Bioprinting is set to play a critical role in helping ISRO grow the Gaganyaan project into deeper manned missions to space.

NBIL is proud to be Manufacturing in India and working towards contributing to the nation’s scientific instrumentation needs for future planned interplanetary missions and to enhance microgravity research on upcoming space station modules being worked on by the private aerospace industry

NBIL will also receive support to scale its manufacturing in Karnataka to meet the rising demand for its 3D Bioprinting technology domestically and internationally.

Next Big Innovation Labs® and HiMedia® Laboratories have entered into a partnership to collaboratively provide holistic solutions to a rapidly growing bioprinting ecosystem in India. NBIL, with its Customised Bioprinters and HiMedia’s expertise, knowledge, and plethora of solutions on Cell Biology and Tissue Engineering, will provide the impetus required for the aspirations of the researchers, clinicians, and students working on the diverse applications of Bioprinting.

About Next Big Innovation Labs® :

NBIL is a proudly born in India company with a vision to create a versatile Bioprinting platform comprising the company’s patented tech, multidisciplinary team, unique processes, and breakthrough biomaterials to bridge the ever-widening gap between Transplantable Organ Demand and Availability. Our Bioprinter, Trivima is built to cater to an intricate and dynamic bioprinting requirement that not only spans across India but also spans across a global scale. The modularity built into our Trivima machines cater to research in domains such as biomaterial research, cancer biology, tissue engineering, micro-fluidics and regenerative medicine.

Some of the critical collaborations of NBIL are with Autodesk India (Software for optimal machine design and manufacturing), Merck KGaA (Merck Accelerator Program), Microsoft (AI in Bioprinting), Hi Media Laboratories and, more recently Manipal Institute for Regenerative Medicine (MAHE). NBIL has also been supported by AIC Jyothy Institute of Technology.
